March 3 Applications accepted in Admissions, located in the Student Services Center in the Cesar E. Chavez Building or Higher Education Center
June 15 Email registration information to Continuing Students
June 29 Registration begins by appointment
  Wait list available (as classes fill)
August 16 Residency determination date
August 17 Fall instruction begins—Monday
August 17–29 Late admission period/class change period—Admissions
* August 29 Last day to add classes
August 29 Refunds—Last day to withdraw from full-semester classes and qualify for a refund of enrollment fees and non resident tuition. (See information below for fast track deadline.)
  Refunds—Last day to get a refund for parking
September 4 Last day to file a petition for independent study
  Refunds—Last day to get a refund in the Bookstore
September 6 No Sunday classes
September 7 Holiday—Labor Day
September 11 Last day to withdraw from a class without receiving a “W” grade
  Last day to file a petition for Credit/No Credit–3 p.m.
September 25 Last day to file a petition for Credit by Challenge Examination
October 30 Deadline to petition for fall graduation
* November 6 Last day to withdraw from full-semester courses and receive a “W” grade
November 11 Holiday—Veteran’s Day
November 25 No evening classes
November 26–29 Thanksgiving Holiday
December 10 & 11 Non-Instructional Days–No classes
December 12 & 18 Final Examination Week
December 18 Last day of classes–End of Semester
December 21–January 1 College closed–Winter Break

Fast Track Deadlines
  • Deadlines for less-than-full-semester classes are determined as indicated below: (Contact Admissions for dates for a specific class.)
  • Deadline to add classes: First week class meets
  • Deadline for refund: 10% of actual class meeting days—in some cases this may be the first day of class
  • Deadline to apply for credit/no credit option: 30% of actual class meeting days
  • Deadline to withdraw from class without receiving a W: 30% of actual class meeting days
  • Deadline to withdraw from class and receive a “W”: 75% of actual meeting days
  • Graduation: Deadline to petition for fall graduation–October 30, 2009 (NOTE: Petitions for graduation are accepted all year).
