Campus Police Department

Welcome to the Southwestern College Police Department
The safety and wellbeing of our students, faculty and staff is important. Although the campus is a safe place, crime does occur. The Southwestern College Police is charged with heightening the community awareness about crime on campus. A truly safe campus can be achieved through cooperation of everyone. Please take the time to review our site and stop by the Southwestern College Police Office located in the Lot P for informational material.

The Southwestern Community College Police Department was certified by the California Commission On Peace Officer Standards And Training (P.O.S.T) in August 1997. Since that time, the Southwestern College Police Department has continued to meet the standards set by the State of California.

The SWCPD provides police services on and around the main campus and separate satellite campuses Monday through Saturday 6am until 10:30pm. Outside of these hours, campus security services are available to promote safety, the securing of District property and to answer emergency calls for services generated from the college.
