Registered Nursing (ADN)

Southwestern College’s Associate Degree Nursing Program was re-accredited by the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission on Nov. 4, 2005  and received the full eight years of accreditation with no non-compliances. We would like to invite public comments about our nursing program in writing or per e-mail to the College or directly to the NLNAC in New York. Contact information is provided below. Current students and previous ones are also asked to comment about their experience going through Southwestern College’s nursing program.

Upon completion of degree requirements, the graduate is eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN). The Board of Registered Nursing(BRN) may refuse licensure to individuals who have been convicted of crimes and/or certain misdemeanors. Further information may be obtained from the BRN at 1625 N. Market Blvd., Suite N-217, Sacramento, CA 95834 or the Program Director may be consulted.
