Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee
A Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) was established by the Southwestern Community College Governing Board to oversee the expenditures of the Propositions R and Z, and Measure SW bond proceeds in accordance with CBOC Bylaws and the intent of the bond measure (view Prop R Ballot Language, Prop Z Ballot Language, and Measure SW Ballot Language).
2026 Membership Vacancies
Southwestern College’s Propositions Z & SW Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee is looking for applicants to fill two vacancies.
- The committee is looking for a member to fill the student vacancy. This member must be a student enrolled and active in a community college support group, such as student government.
- The second vacancy must be filled by a member active in a senior citizens' organization.
Those interested in serving on the committee must meet the requirements of the position being sought. Committee members are responsible for informing the public and the college’s Governing Board about the expenditure of bond proceeds, reviewing expenditures to ensure they are aligned with voter-approved projects and providing an annual report summarizing the committee’s proceedings and activities.
The current Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee meets four times per year.
