[Recommended Preparation: SPAN 215 or 201 or equivalent.] Introduces students to the skills and techniques of interpretation and translation (English/Spanish) in the legal field including written translation and simultaneous, consecutive, and summary interpreting and sight translation with discussion of cultural sensitivity and ethics as related to the legal interpreter/translator.
