PRONUNCIATION FOR ESL STUDENTS

[Recommended Preparation: ESL 21 or equivalent.] Designed for English as a Second Language students who wish to improve their intelligibility and aural comprehension in the English language. Emphasis will be given to the stress, rhythm, and intonation of English. Additional emphasis will be on the sounds of the vowels and consonants in English, and on how to use phonetic symbols to interpret those sounds.
