HSIAC Grant To Fund Family Resource Center in National City
Southwestern College Receives $594,534 To Meet Community Needs
Southwestern College will now be able to provide the residents of National City greater access to higher education, health and social services, family support services, and childcare – thanks to the recent acquisition of a Hispanic Serving Institutions Assisting Communities (HSIAC) grant. The $594,534 grant will be used to fund the construction of a Family Resource Center within the new Educational Village at the College’s Higher Education Center at National City (HEC).
This grant will allow the institution to expand its role in supporting and promoting family self-sufficiency, children’s successful learning, and community wellbeing.
