Career/Transfer Center
The creation of the Career/Transfer Center was made
possible through a SWC College Leadership Council grant. The Career/Transfer
Center serves as a “one-stop” location for students who need information
regarding transferring to universities and/or seek career development assistance.
The types of comprehensive services that are provided cover two major areas:
career and transfer. In the area of career exploration and planning, students
are able to utilize online career assessments, develop employment portfolios,
and conduct job search activities using on-line Internet resources. Transfer
information consists of college and university articulation agreements in printed
and on-line form, access to college and university catalogs in printed and on-line
form, and workshops focusing on a variety of transfer related topics, including
essay writing, scholarship search process.
