COMM 174 INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION 3 Units [Recommended Preparation: RDG 158 or the equivalent skill level as determined by the Southwestern College Reading Assessment or equivalent.] Focuses on interpersonal communication theories, principles, and on public speaking. Emphasis on self-concept, perception, communication climates, verbal and nonverbal communication, listening, feedback and disclosure skills, conflict styles, resolution strategies, ethics, and mediated communication.
