Southwestern College Students,
You are invited to explore 5 universities/colleges as part of the Architecture Club's five day, four night University Tour. This event is open to currently enrolled Southwestern College students; all majors are welcome. We will be visiting UC Berkeley, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Cal Poly Pomona, California College of the Arts, and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. The trip will give you a chance to learn first-hand what these schools can offer you as a future transfer student. In addition to the schools mentioned, we plan to visit the following points of interest: Hearst Castle, SF Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The University Tour is scheduled to coincide with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo’s Open House and Design Village Competition (two SWC Architecture Club teams will be participating). The charter bus will depart from SWC on Friday, April 11th at 8:30am, and arrive on Tuesday, April 15th at 9:00pm (that Monday and Tuesday are during Spring Break). For further itinerary details, please refer to the flyer attached.
This unique opportunity will help you make an informed decision when selecting what university to attend to further pursue your undergraduate degree. Space is limited. We are requesting a student contribution of $25 per night. The generous support of our sponsors (Southwestern College Associated Student Organization, Transfer Center, and the SWC Architecture Club) along with your contribution will cover the cost of lodging and transportation. You would be responsible for providing for your meals.
For more information, please join us during our regular club meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am in room 503. You may also contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
