SWC’s Chicano Latino Coalition

San Diego’s longest-running professional theatre production will be giving Southwestern College’s Chicano Latino Coalition an early Christmas gift—and there’s nothing the forces of darkness can do to stop them!

Written by Southwestern College Professor Dr. Max Branscomb, “La Pastorela del Cielo’s” modern pop culture-filled take on the biblical story of the shepherd’s journey to Bethlehem to partake in the first Christmas is guaranteed to knock your socks off.

As a bonus, tickets sold at the December 20th show at 7:30p.m. will directly support the college’s Chicano Latino Coalition.

Directing “La Pastorela del Cielo” is William Virchis, a Southwestern College theater professor emeritus and nationally acclaimed play director.

Dr. Branscomb’s passion for the arts is only outmatched by his love for the neighborhood.

“La Pastorela is our gift to this great community,” said Dr.Branscomb. “It is a lot of fun and a reminder that people of good will can make a difference in our world.”

If you can’t make the show on the 20th “La Pastorela del Cielo” runs Dec. 12-15 and 18-22 at 7:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. Dec. 14, 15, 21 and 22 at the Lyceum Theater in Horton Plaza.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, students, military and $7 for children 12 and under or groups of 10 or more.

For reservations call (619) 544-1000.
