Southwestern College's Associate Degree Nursing Program was re-accredited by the National League of Nursing Accreditation Commission on Nov. 4, 2005 and received the full eight years of accreditation with no non-compliances.
The Associate Degree Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and has continuing accreditation through Fall 2013.

Upon completion of degree requirements, the graduate is eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN). The Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) may refuse licensure to individuals who have been convicted of crimes and/or certain misdemeanors.
