LEVEL TWO Academic and/or Progress Probation

Level Two probation indicates improved academic progress, but overall academic performance under the threshold needed for probation removal.

You may enroll and attend classes for the upcoming term however you may be ineligible for Enrollment Priority and/or BOGFW. Official notice will be sent via your SWC email by the Financial Aid department. Even though you successfully completed your coursework, your overall academic standing remains below satisfactory. You are required to attend an Academic Success Seminar.

We encourage you to take the following steps to contribute to your success:

1. In order to avoid dismissal please sign up for an Academic Success Seminar by calling the Counseling Center at (619) 421-6700 ext 5240/5241.
2. Check your SWC email regularly for information regarding your Financial Aid and Priority Enrollment status.

After you attend the seminar you will be scheduled for an individual counseling appointment to discuss your academic plans and career goals. By completing the Academic Success Seminar and meeting with a counselor you are more likely to achieve your educational goals.

Please note that if you are currently dismissed you must attend the Petition to Appeal Dismissal workshops when available. Please see the dismissal page for more information.
