Distinguished Administrator Award
Purpose of Award
The SWC Distinguished Administrator Award is SWC’s highest administrative honor. This award recognizes exemplary administrative and professional performance that promotes and sustains SWC’s mission and strategic priorities. The SWC Distinguished Administrator Award is only awarded in order to recognize above and beyond administrative service to SWC.

Award Eligibility
Any member of the College Management Team who has displayed exemplary service to SWC as per the criteria listed below.

Award Criteria
The administrator nominated shall have demonstrated any or all of the following:

• Organizational Strategy
The SWC Distinguished Administrator strategically improves the quality of SWC, protects the long-term health of SWC, promotes the success of all students, and sustains the SWC’s mission, based on knowledge of SWC, its environment, and future trends.

• Resource Management
The SWC Distinguished Administrator equitably and ethically sustains its people, processes, and information as well as physical and financial assets to fulfill SWC’s mission, vision and goals.

• Communication
The SWC Distinguished Administrator uses clear listening, speaking, and writing skills to engage in honest, open dialogue at all levels of the college and its surrounding community, to promote the success of al• l students, and to sustain the SWC college mission.

• Collaboration
The SWC Distinguished Administrator develops and maintains responsive, cooperative, mutually beneficial, and ethical internal and external relationships that nurture diversity, promote the success of all students, and sustain the SWC college mission.

• Community College Advocacy
The SWC Distinguished Administrator understands, commits to, and advocates for the mission, vision, and goals of the community college.

• Professionalism
The SWC Distinguished Administrator works ethically to set high standards for self and others, continuously improve self and surroundings, demonstrate accountability to and for the institution, and ensure the long-term viability of SWC and the community.

• Innovation
The SWC Distinguished Administrator demonstrates creativity and ingenuity by developing innovative processes, procedures, initiatives, programs, or projects that help to further SWC’s mission and strategic priorities.

Any Southwestern College District stakeholder may submit a nomination.

     b. Supporting documentation—which may include finished products, letters of support, or other materials deemed appropriate—must be submitted electronically to pbartow@swccd.edu (limit of 7 pages for supporting documentation) (documents must be submitted separately, outside of this form).
