| The
Writing Center Philosophy |
| |
The Writing Center
offers students at all levels and in all disciplines an opportunity
to work individually with experienced writing tutors about a written
class assignment.
Writing Center tutors do not do
students' work for them, nor do they edit, correct or proofread
papers. Instead, tutors help students develop and organize ideas.
They also provide a critical audience for students, pointing out
possible problems in a draft and offering advise for revision.
Their aim is to teach students how to become more effective, independent
writers. |
