Simone "Simie" Willter is a coaches’ dream, possessing all the skills and leadership qualities of a great player. What stands out however is her sense of humility. Arriving on a new team with lofty accolades can be difficult; it can cause disruptions if not handled properly, but with Simie, it has never been a problem.

At 13, Simie played for the Guamanian National Under 15 team. She arrived at Southwestern College just this summer and has led the team in scoring (8 goals and numerous assists), while providing stability during, at times, a difficult season. She admits that the game is played differently here: "Everything is played on the ground in Asia. And players here are much more physical." Like a good player does, however, she adjusted, playing a variety of positions besides her normal outside mid.

With conference honors pending, Simie works as hard at practice and in games as if she were still trying to just make the team. Simie plans to study kinesiology, or some other profession related to health care.
