ASLO -- American Society of Limnology and Oceanography the leading professional organization for researchers and educators in the field of aquatic science, ASLO works to provide for their needs at all phases of professional development.
OES -- IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society offers interested professionals a technical forum for all technologies related to ocean engineering.
IOC -- Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission provides member states of the United Nations with a mechanism for global co-operation in the study of the ocean and in addressing collective ocean and coastal problems through the sharing of knowledge, information and technology.
TOS -- The Oceanography Society disseminates knowledge of oceanography and its application through research and education, to promote communication among oceanographers, and to provide a constituency for consensus-building across all the disciplines of the field.
