PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

The Staff Development Program (SDP) must be notified of any workshops and training sessions for employees to be offered at any Center/School/Office (SWC Flexible Calendar Guidelines, Section 8, pg. 8).

The Staff Development Committe (SDC) will evaluate proposal(s). Applicants will be notified of committee's action within 3-5 business days.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Incomplete proposal(s) will not be considered. Please read Guidelines and Timelines (attached) prior to completing a proposal(s).

Statutory Categories (select all applicable):

Title 5, Article 2, Section 55724 details the activities which college personnel may be engaged in during designated staff, student and instructional improvement days. Activities may include, but not be limited to the nine categories listed below.

1. course instruction and evaluation;

2. staff development, in-service training and instructional improvement;
3. program and course curriculum or learning resource development and evaluation;
4. student personnel services;
5. learning resource services;
6. related activities, such as student advising, guidance, orientation, matriculation services, and student, faculty and staff diversity;
7. departmental or division meetings, conferences and workshops, ans institutional research;
8. other duties as assigned by the district;
9. the necessary supporting activities for the above.
