Advocacy Services for Victims of Sexual Assault
Campus Resources
The Child Development Center provides convenient, affordable child care services to the students and staff of Southwestern College, as well as to the residents of nearby communities.
Disability Support Services (DSS) provides the support services for students with disabilities at Southwestern College mandated by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

196 Returning Student Athletes 128 Total 360 The School of Math, Science and Engineering (MSE) serves a diverse group of students pursuing STEM majors (anthropology, astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, geography, geology, math, physical science, physics), students wishing to fulfill their general education requirements, and student requiring STEM courses for programs outside of MSE. Through faculty involvement in several NSF grants and the contributions of the MESA Program, our students have the opportunity to participate in paid internships, research experiences, mentorship programs, and work based learning activities.
For Spring 2024, MSE has a total of 173 faculty, with 46 full time faculty and 127 part time faculty. MSE has a variety of clubs and student organizations related to STEM majors: Anthropology, chemistry, earth science, math and science, SHPE, Society of Women Engineers, and software engineering.

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) offers resources on benefits, school, Student Employment Services/Internships, Counseling & Career Advisement, and much more. The VRC is also a place to come in and relax, study and meet new people.

If you think you might be in danger, make a plan! Have the following:
- Packed bag at a friend’s house
- Set of keys hidden outside
- List of emergency contact info
- Bank account with money in your name
- Planned and practiced escape route
- For you and your children:
- Have birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver’s license, passports, green card/work permit, welfare ID, money, checkbook, credit cards, school registration, restraining orders, etc.
