Training for Online/Hybrid Course Evaluations
These videos are designed to help faculty and administrators conduct an evaluation using the online evaluation forms. They are not intended to dictate quality standards for teaching and evaluating. In other words, these videos are meant to help guide evaluators through an online evaluation* by providing possible places within the online course where evaluation criteria may be located, but please keep in mind the evaluation criteria may be found elsewhere within in the online course.
*Please Note: If a class is hybrid, the online portion of the course is evaluated, not the face-to-face portion (Tenure Review and Faculty Evaluation Manual, page 23). Therefore, Faculty Evaluation Form O and Syllabus Checklist O are used for both online and hybrid courses. The term “online evaluation” used here and in the videos applies to both online and hybrid courses. Please see the Forms page for the online/hybrid evaluation documents; in addition, the Syllabus Checklist for Online or Hybrid courses is also provided below.
