Description: This workshop is presented by Luis Canseco Garcia, a domestic violence education and prevention specialist at Community Resource Center, a non-profit in North County San Diego. This workshop is designed to cover the basics of domestic violence (DV): the definition of domestic violence, types of abuse in relationships, the prevalence of DV, warning signs of an abusive person, why do people stay in abusive relationships, how to help others who are experiencing DV, how to embrace healthy relationships, and national and local resources.
