Canvas & Zoom Student Orientation

Join us to learn more about Canvas and Zoom!
Canvas is SWC’s online course management system, which is used to share class content, facilitate activities, and communicate with class members.
Zoom is a free video conferencing tool that makes it easy to hold live meetings with video, audio, screenshare, chat, and more.

Orientations are held for one hour, with both in-person and Zoom sessions:

Thursday, June 2nd : 5pm (Zoom)
Saturday, June 4th : 12pm (Zoom)
Monday, June 6th : 6pm (In Person)
Tuesday, June 7th : 4pm (In Person)
Wednesday, June 8th : 11am (Zoom)

- Sessions take place on Chula Vista campus, in Room 64-238 North
- Attendees must submit vaccination status
For Zoom sessions , simply go to https://swccd-edu.zoom.us/my/swconline a few minutes before your orientation to join the meeting.
- To arrange live captioning, email onlinelearning@swccd.edu 5 business days in advance of a session.
