Art Exhibition: Michael Hernandez, Taken To Heart

SWC Art Gallery is proud to present "Taken to Heart", an exhibition of new sculptures and installations by Michael Hernandez from Thursday March 9th through Tuesday April 11th.

This exhibition features works which play on the form, color, and expressive potential of glass, neon, and mixed media to sardonically address and reflect on personal experiences while exploring deep, often troubling themes in joyous naiveté.

Michael Hernandez is an artist and educator residing in San Marcos, CA. Michael’s work has been exhibited throughout the US and abroad, and he regularly teaches workshops on sculptural approaches to glassblowing, kilnforming, and neon at private and public institutions around the US. Currently, Michael is an associate professor and head of the glass program at Palomar College.

An Artist’s Talk will be held on Thursday March 9th from 12noon to 1pm
All gallery events and exhibitions are free and open to the public.
