POST Basic Course Extended Police Academy 893-hours

Open and read each attached link below and follow the instructions listed in the first document titled "Application Requirements Information", this attachment includes a "Check-Off List" on page-4, with a list of required documents that need to be submitted in person with the Personal History Statement Application, to the Police Academy Office at Otay Mesa HEC, 8100 Gigantic Street, San Diego, CA 92154.  Contact the Police Academy Office to make an appointment to submit your application at (619) 482-6462.

Organize your documents in the order listed on the "Check-Off List", do not staple any of your documents together.

Important Academy Timelines: (All dates/times are subject to change without notice)

  • DEADLINE - April 30, 2018 @ 4pm
  • PHYSICAL AGILITY TESTING:  Saturday, May 12, 2018 @ 9am 
  • ORAL INTERVIEWS:  Monday, May 14 thru Friday, May 18 - 5pm to 8pm; & Sat. May 19 - 8am to 12pm 
  • ORIENTATION 1 & 2:  Thursday, May 31, 2018 @ 5:30pm to 8:30pm / Sat. June 2, 2018 @ 7am to 11am  
  • DAY-1 ACADEMY BEGINS:  Saturday, July 7, 2018
