Trying to reach us?  Don't get confused, your GPS may send you to bizarre locations.  WE RECOMMEND NOT USING GPS and follow the directions listed below.

Remember, what ever direction you are coming from, parking is on the BEACH side at Silver Strand State Beach (follow signs to State Beach) and the Aquatic Center is on the BAY side.  No vehicular traffic or parking is available for participants on the bay side.

From the North

Take I-5 to the Coronado Bridge. Make a left on Orange and travel south on Orange (will become Hwy 75) until you reach the Silver Strand State Beach. You will pass the Hotel Del Coronado, the Naval Amphibious Base, the Navy housing and the Beach exit will be directly across from the Coronado Cays. The turn-off to State Beach Parking is on the right side of the highway. Make a right into the SSSB Parking lot. Once through the parking kiosk, continue to Lot #3 (the furthest lot north before the RV Campsite). Park and walk through the pedestrian tunnel to the Bay side and you are there.

From the South

Travel either I-5 or I-805 and take the Palm Avenue exit. Go west. Palm Avenue will turn into Highway 75 at the north end of Imperial Beach. Continue north to the Silver Strand State Beach exit on your left. The Coronado Cays will be on your right. Turn left toward the ocean and continue to the State Beach entrance.  Once through the parking kiosk, continue to Lot #3 (the furthest lot north before the RV Campsite). Park and walk through the pedestrian tunnel to the Bay side and you are there.

Note: California State Parks charge for parking. Students and registered participants of CCAC may be eligible to receive a Parking Pass. Please check with a member of the CCAC Team.  NOTE: Southwestern College Parking Permits are not honored at the State Park.

Parking

Students who are registered for a Southwestern College Course (credit or non-credit course) will receive a pass to park free of charge in the Silver Strand State Beach parking lots.  These parking passes are non-transferable and valid for the date/time range of student's class.

As the CCAC is a satellite campus located on CA State Park property, SWC parking permits/decals ARE NOT VALID at SSSB.  Students, Faculty and Staff must either have a valid CCAC/SSSB parking pass OR are required to pay for parking at the beach.

Parking rates at SSSB have been REDUCED!  All-Day Parking is now $8.  Weekdays  1-hour Parking  is $2 and up to two(2) hours,$4.  If no attendant is in Parking Kiosk, use the self-pay stations located at Park entrance, or at south end of Lot #3, closest to Lifeguard Tower.
