Dr. Joel Pilco

Joel Pilco, Ed.D., is a higher education administrator with over 20 years of experience in instructional leadership, student services, and international programs. Having lived in Japan, Mexico, China, Kenya, and Bolivia, Dr. Pilco possesses a rich cultural background and global perspective. Fluent in Spanish and conversational in Japanese and Portuguese, he excels in serving students from historically marginalized racial and ethnic communities. 

Throughout his career, Dr. Pilco has held various roles, including Dean of Admissions, Dean of Education, Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services, Director of Admissions, and Director of ESL Programs. Since 2006, he has been a business and ESL instructor at multiple institutions.  

Dr. Pilco holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management, a master’s degree in international business administration from Alliant International University, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from United States International University, and an associate degree from Southwestern College.
