Specialized Scholarships

  • Visit Medical Assistant Certification to find a list of scholarships geared specifically toward medical assisting certificate and degree programs, along with a customizable database of over 14,000 general scholarships. Scholarships are, in many ways, the ideal source of aid, in that money awarded does not need to be repaid. As a prospective student, it is absolutely in your best interest to search for and apply to a number of relevant medical assistant scholarships.
  • Visit Immigrants Rising for a list of undergraduate scholarships that do not require proof of U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency.
  • San Diego County Farm Bureau : Agriculture Scholarships
    Scholarship Amount: Ranges from $1,000 to $5,000
    Application Deadline: April 15, 2024. Application period is OPEN!

Foundation CCC Scholarships

CCC Real Estate Scholarship

Eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be Real Estate education majors or, if the college does not offer a Real Estate major, Business Administration major with a concentration in Real Estate.
  • Applicants must have financial need.
  • Applicants must satisfactorily complete at least one three-unit college course in Real Estate with a grade of C (2.0) or higher prior to applying for the scholarship.

Visit Real Estate Scholarships Page for more details and application materials. Application period: September 1 - April 30. Scholarships will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to apply as early as possible!

 

CCC AP Keenan Insurance Scholarship

Eligibility requirements: 

  • Scholarship preference shall be given to underrepresented students who are working towards a certificate or degree in insurance, risk management, financial services or a related field, such as business administration with a concentration in or focus on the insurance and benefits industry.
  • Applicants must be eligible for a California College Promise Grant or be experiencing other circumstances demonstrating financial need.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in and complete three (3) units each semester, or the quarter equivalent, in insurance, risk management, financial services, or related courses in order to be eligible to receive a scholarship.

Print the Application from  the Keenan Insurance Scholarships page.  It is located in the very bottom under "Resources: 2023 Scholarship Application."  Application period: February 1, 2023 - October 31, 2023.  Submit the application to the SWC Financial Aid Office or SWC Foundation Office. 

Educating for Change Scholarship

Eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must have a parent incarcerated a prison administered by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) 
  • Applicants must be enrolled in 12 or more units per semester
