SWC Cares Emergency Grant

The Southwestern College Student Emergency Grant has been created by the Southwestern College Foundation to provide assistance to students at risk of dropping out of college due to unexpected financial emergencies. This assistance is intended to help students stay in school and meet their educational goals, ultimately securing a better financial future for themselves and their families. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 units and have a certifiable, unforeseen financial emergency. Grants are only available as funding allows. Completed applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office or the Student Services counters at the HECs. Click here for more information and the application.

Emergency Loan Program

Emergency Loans are available  for $150 and students have the option of receiving a Bookstore Voucher or check. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units, the loan must be repaid within 45 days and students may not receive more than one Emergency Loan each semester. Loans are only available as funding allows. Completed applications must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office or the Student Services counters at the HECs. Click here for the application.
