Southwestern College will be accepting applications for the August 2013 Paramedic training program starting on Friday, March 1, 2013.

Emergency Medical Technicians with a year of full-time work experience are encouraged to apply.

 
Interested EMT's may obtain an application packet from the SWC Higher Education Center at Otay Mesa until the middle of May or via email from Karen Cook at kcook@swccd.edu.

Classes start in mid-August. Qualified applicants are admitted on a “first come, first serve” basis, determined by the date the application is submitted and complete. (See application for more information. Please note some of the requirements have changed, effective this year.)

The goal of the Southwestern College Paramedic Program is to prepare competent entry-level Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains.
