The Writing Center is dedicated to helping you become a skilled, confident and independent writer.
The Writing Center offers a wide variety of services to students, tutors, faculty, and staff. From help with grammar, punctuation, and essay structure to online writing tutoring to faculty and tutor resources, there is something for everyone!
Come to the Writing Center for help with any project in any of your classes. We can help you at any stage of the writing process, even if you are just trying to get an idea for an essay or understand what your teacher wants you to do. We can help you understand MLA format and documentation. We can help you read and comprehend your assignment.
Location: 420 D in the Academic Success Center
NOTE: The Writing Center is closed for Summer 2017, but English tutoring is available in the ASC, on the Library's 3rd Floor, and at the three Higher Education Centers. Click the "Tutoring Schedules" link on the left-hand side menu for details.

A tutor will work with you for about twenty minutes, looking at an aspect or problem you might be having with the reading or writing process. You can come back as many times as you want for another twenty-minute session. We will help you learn to edit and proofread your own work, and help you develop skills to improve your reading.
Please bring a copy of your assignments, your books, and any other material you feel will help us help you.
