We have a number of resources available to assist homeless students.
Shower Facilities for Homeless Students: Shower facilities are located in the SWC Field House, Building 1700, Room H 103 (women) and H107 (men) on the Chula Vista campus. Shower facilities are open to use by homeless students from Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm during the fall and spring semesters. During winter and summer sessions, shower facilities are open during the hours of operation of the Field House. Please call 619-216-6626 for more information.
Enrollment Priority for Homeless Students: Students under the age of 25 who are homeless when they attend SWC are eligible for priority enrollment. A student needs to be able to verify that they are homeless by either: (1) a letter from a homeless services provider; (2) a letter from a federal TRIO program; or, (3) verification from Financial Aid. The student would take this documentation to the Admissions & Records Office to be granted enrollment priority. For more information, please contact Angel Salazar in the Financial Aid Office at (619) 421-6700 x5255 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Liaison for Homeless Students
College Liaison for Homeless Students: Please contact Angel Salazar in the Financial Aid Office at (619) 421-6700 x5255 or email@example.com for more information on Financial Aid eligibility and support for homeless students.
