Welcome to the Southwestern College
Veterans' Resource Center (VRC)
Opened in Spring 2014, this beautiful center is a result of the hard work, passion and dedication of many student Veterans, faculty and staff members and a symbol of the commitment Southwestern College has made to support the success of student veterans. Our VRC is staffed entirely by Veterans and student Veterans.
The VRC is pleased to offer a variety of services to support the success of our student Veterans and others using Veterans' benefits as they pursue their academic and career goals.
Workshops: Every semester, we offer a wide variety of workshops, on topics such as Financial Aid, Interview and Resume Writing Skills, updating Student Education Plans (SEPs) and Veterans benefits and more. Click here for a schedule of workshops for the current semester.
Peer-to-Peer Book Exchange: The VRC has a number of textbooks that have been donated by fellow Veterans that can borrowed free of charge. Come by the VRC to see what's available and get more information on the program.
Computer Lab: The VRC has a dedicated computer lab (6 stations) exclusively for the use of student Veterans.
Meeting space: The VRC offers space to meet, study and network with fellow student Veterans.
Peer-to-Peer tutoring: The VRC, in coordination with the Academic Success Center, offers tutoring for Veterans by Veterans. Click here for a tutoring schedule for the current semester.
