Higher Education Center at San Ysidro
At the Higher Education Center at San Ysidro (HECSY), students can complete General Education courses and pursue career-focused certificate programs aligned with their academic and professional goals. Established in 1988, the center stands as a meaningful tribute to the 21 lives lost in the July 18, 1984 tragedy at the McDonald’s restaurant in San Ysidro. The memorial, located at the front of the center, honors their memory and reflects an ongoing commitment to uplift, educate, and strengthen the San Ysidro community.
