- Students applying to SDSU, here are some tips!
- Check out SDSU's Fall Transfer Steps to Apply for information on applying. Students can also attend Academic History Update Webinars provided by SDSU admissions counselors.
- What is the Transfer Success Pathway for CSUs? The CSU Transfer Success Pathway is designed to increase access to any of the CSU’s 22 universities. If academic, financial, or personal hardships prevented you from attending the CSU in the past, this program could help you earn your degree at the CSU. You can also view the CSU Transfer Success Pathway Brochure and also visit the CSU Transfer Planner website for additional information.
- Students need to update their Academic History (CSUs)/ Transfer Academic (UCs) in their Fall transfer application(s) by January 31st. This is mandatory for SDSU, UCSD, and many other Universities. Students must submit even if they have no fall 2026 grades or winter/spring 2026 courses to report. For assistance, schedule an appointment or attend a workshop.

events which contribute to successful transfer! Every Fall and Spring semester a Transfer Fair takes place at Southwestern College. The Fall transfer fair takes place in October and in Spring it takes place in April. Meet University Representatives and enter to win prizes! Be sure to join in on the fun! Return to see more specific details that will be available closer to the date of the Transfer Fairs. |

University Center Partnerships
The University Center, housed on our Chula Vista campus within the Instructional Discovery Complex (IDC), expands transfer and degree completion opportunities in partnership with regional university partners—bringing bachelor’s programs directly to South County. Through this partnership, SWC students can pursue advanced degrees locally, reducing barriers and expanding access to higher education.
