Binational Ceremony

Southwestern College proudly presents the Binational Graduation Ceremony, a signature celebration honoring the resilience, dedication, and achievements of our graduating students across borders.

This milestone event recognizes not only the academic accomplishments of our graduates, but also the unwavering support of families, friends, faculty, and staff who have been part of their journey.

The Binational Graduation Ceremony in Tijuana is a unique opportunity for students and their loved ones to celebrate this important achievement in a culturally meaningful and accessible setting within the CaliBaja region.

Event Details
Date: Thursday, June 4, 2026

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (PST)

Location: Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior (CETYS) Universidad, Campus Tijuana (Av. CETYS Universidad 4, El Lago, 22210 Tijuana, B.C., México)

Parking and Transportation
Parking: Free parking will be available for all students and guests in the CETYS parking structure.

Transportation: Southwestern College will not provide transportation. Students and guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the event.

Guest Information
Guests: Graduates may invite an unlimited number of guests to attend the ceremony.

Cost: There is no cost to participate in or attend the ceremony.

Student Information

Cap and Gown: Students will use the same cap and gown for both the Chula Vista and Tijuana ceremonies.
Students who are only participating in the Tijuana ceremony must pick up their cap and gown from the Southwestern College Bookstore in advance of the event.

Diploma Presenters: Diplomas will be presented by the Southwestern College President and members of the Governing Board.

Additional Information for Participating Students

Students who have registered to participate in the Binational Graduation Ceremony will be invited to attend informational Zoom sessions in early May. These sessions will cover important details about the event, including logistics, arrival times, and participation guidelines.
