Nominate Students:student Of Distinction Award

Greetings SWC Community,
The nomination process will soon be underway to recognize outstanding students with the Student of Distinction Award (SODA). SODA is one of the highest honors given to students of Southwestern College.
GREAT NEWS! The SWC Foundation increased the number from twenty to twenty five, yes, 25 students! These recipients will be recognized at the 29th Annual Student Awards Ceremony, to be scheduled some time in May 2022. Each student will receive a Medal of Distinction and a $1,000 scholarship award generously sponsored by the Southwestern College Foundation.

Nominations start Feb. 1, 2022, and the deadline for submission is Monday, February 28, 2022.
If you have never nominated a student, we encourage you to review the criteria and eligibility outlined in the attached flyer and consider which of your students has shown academic excellence and outstanding leadership. If you are unsure if your student meets eligibility, please email Jenny Davis your student’s SWC ID. This is your chance to recognize your outstanding students!
Remember, students cannot nominate themselves. It’s up to you!
Who is eligible to nominate a student? SWC Faculty, SWC Administrator, SWC Classified employee. Students, Hourlies, Contractors, Consultants cannot nominate students.
