Business Management
A Leading Future
The Business Management portion of the catalog includes skills-based certificates leading up to a degree in Business Management. Students may choose to earn certificates in Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Small Business, ecommerce (e-business), Financial and Investment Services, and Marketing. Each of these certificates then can lead to an Associate Degree in Business Management with additional courses as indicated. To explore certificate options, please go on the "Programs" tab within this section of the catalog. All of these programs are appropriate for students who want to use their skills for immediate employment, for workplace promotions, to upgrade their skills or for their own entrepreneurship activities and side-gigs. The certificates in this section of the catalog may be earned at the same time as earning either the Business Management degree or else while earning transfer-oriented degrees, found under the "Business Administration" portion of this catalog (listed under "Degrees and Certificates").

Most require an associate degree, some require a bachelor’s or graduate-level degree: Administrator, manager, supervisor, small business owner/operator, entrepreneur, marketer, marketing or social media coordinator, assistant, associate, or manager, office manager, ecommerce assistant, coordinator, associate, manager or director, on-line merchandiser, customer service associate or manager, loan officer, financial services associate or manager. Many entry-level employment opportunities are available in retail or wholesale sales, business offices, financial institutions, schools, colleges, and local, state, and federal government.
