IGETC/GEBR Certification

If you are planning to transfer to the University of California System (IGETC) or the California State University System (GEBR) or  and have completed all your lower division general education requirements, you may request certification by submitting a online petition. Please be sure to choose "Certification of "IGETC (UC) or GEBR (CSU)" under Petition Type. If you are requesting this certification in addition to a degree or certificate, please be sure to submit a separate petition for each.

Deadline for Petition

Petitions for IGETC/GEBR certification must be submitted a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the date you need to submit the certification to the CSU or UC. We cannot guarantee that petitions submitted less that 8 weeks prior will be proceesed prior to your institution's deadline.
