Petition of Substitution of Major Requirement

Petition to Waive Major Requirement

Waive a Graduation Requirement

A student may submit a Student Petition for any of the following to the appropriate School office:

    Computer Literacy - students with a background in computers may substitute a more advanced course or may have the requirement waived by verified work experience in the computer field.   
    Health Education - students may meet the Health Education requirement by obtaining a satisfactory score on the Health Inventory test.
    Exercise Science - students may be exempt from this requirement by presenting a physician's statement detailing a physical disability that would prevent them form participating in an adaptive exercise science activity class or providing a military form (DD-214 or DD-295) showing at least one year of active duty.

Student Petition

To receive credit for AP, IB, CLEP or DANTES, you must request an official copy of your scores be sent to the Admissions Office. Once the scores are on file, you may petition to receive credit by completing and returning this form to the Evaluations Office. Please note that credit will not be awarded for courses in which credit was already earned and credit is not posted to the transcript.
