- Outlook Web App Change
2017-04-06: Faculty/Staff, as of today, Outlook Web App is now only available through the MySWC Portal. In order to check your SWC email, calendar, and tasks, you will need to login to my.swccd.edu and then click on any of the email links or buttons to be automatically signed in to your SWC email. Please note, this enhancement has absolutely nothing to do with the Outlook app that is installed on your SWC computer - that remains the same!
- MyLearningPlan SSO (Single Sign-On)
2017-03-02: Faculty/Staff, MyLearningPlan is now using your MySWC username and password to log you in. As a result, you will now see the standard MySWC Login screen when accessing MyLearningPlan (if you have not already logged into another SSO application).
- MySWC Portal
2017-01-30: The MySWC Portal, your gateway to all things Southwestern, is now open for all to use. Blackboard, Canvas, your SWC email, and much more - all in one place and you only need to login once! Just point your browser to my.swccd.edu and enter in your MySWC username and password to login.
- Canvas SSO (Single Sign-On)
2017-01-23: Canvas is now using your MySWC username and password to log you in. As a result, you will now see the standard MySWC Login screen when accessing Canvas (if you have not already logged into another SSO application). You will no longer use your separate Canvas username and password!
- Blackboard SSO (Single Sign-On)
2017-01-04: Blackboard is now using your MySWC username and password to log you in. As a result, you will now see the standard MySWC Login screen when accessing Blackboard (if you have not already logged into another SSO application). You will no longer use your separate Blackboard username and password!
MySWC System Alerts
- Blackboard & MySWC
Some faculty members are experiencing login challenges due to a mismatch of usernames. Your Blackboard username must match your MySWC username! Faculty, if your usernames do not match, please email the Institutional Technology Help Desk for assistance and please include both of your usernames.
- T-Mobile Customers
We are receiving reports that some T-Mobile phones are not receiving our Verification Code text messages while using MySWC. We are working with our text messaging company to fix this challenge. Until further notice, if you are a T-Mobile customer, please click the "Skip" button while creating your MySWC account.
- Microsoft Email Users (Hotmail.com, etc.)
If you are a Microsoft email user (like Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, Live.com, MSN.com, Passport.com), it is very important that you check your SPAM/Junk Mail folder for the Verification Codes we send you to validate your MySWC account. In most cases, that is where our emails go. If at all possible, we recommend using a different personal email provider, like Gmail or Yahoo!
