Coming Soon - New & Improved MySWC Portal
The Office of Institutional Technology will soon bring you a new and improved experience: MySWC Portal in the Cloud!
It's hard to believe it's been almost 7 years since we launched the existing MySWC Portal. You may not know this, but in the technology world, that's really old! So, it's time for an upgrade!
To complement WebAdvisor's retirement, we will enhance, integrate, and move existing components from both systems, as well as develop fresh ones, during the 2023-24 Academic Year. The new and improved MySWC Portal in the Cloud will:
- Be a modern web experience, featuring a "mobile first" design - it will look and function great, no matter the device!
- Look familiar to you - the branding and layout isn't changing much, but "under the hood" will be better and more efficient!
- Allow new people to gain access within minutes - it will no longer take 24 to 48 hours for new accounts to synchronize!
- Fulfill new access requests for Campus Apps within minutes - the buttons/links won't take 24 to 48 hours to show up!
- Not go down if there is an internet or power outage on campus - it lives off-campus, in the cloud!
- Be able to handle more people using it and at the same time, provide equitable connections to everyone using it!
- Provide a secure and reliable platform that is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

What is the MySWC Portal?
The MySWC Portal is your gateway to all things Southwestern. It brings together many different SWC resources, sites, and applications - all in one place. And, depending on who you are, the information displayed could be different - but the experience remains consistent! For example, all students and faculty will see dedicated Canvas spaces where current classes can be accessed, but most staff will not see them. The MySWC Portal will only show you content that relates to you, saving you time as you find the resources you need.
MySWC Portal Features
Below are some of the features of the MySWC Portal:
