Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)

Once ADN Program prerequisites and other requirements are completed, you may submit your application with the required forms and documentation. Students will be accepted based on a Multi-Criteria Points System.

Submit complete application packet by U.S. Mail only to: Southwestern College. Attention: Nursing & Health Occupation Programs, 900 Otay Lakes, Chula Vista, CA 91910. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, mail delivery is the only option until further notice.

Students in the Nursing Program must be able to care for male or female patients across the life span and must be available to do clinical work Monday-Sunday, and any shift.


Program applications will be accepted for the ADN class that begins Fall 2021 during the dates indicated below.

The Nursing Program begins in August each year. Letters of acceptance are sent prior to the fall semester start date. Applicants who are accepted into the program may NOT defer acceptance but must reapply to the program. If you are accepted elsewhere or choose not to attend the program, please e-mail the Nursing Department Program Technician to cancel your application.
