EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY

Program Overview

Emergency Medical Technology is the study of emergency medical care and the evaluation and treatment of injuries.  This program focuses on both teaching and practical knowledge while providing requisite skills to evaluate and treat a wide variety of medical and trauma emergencies in the prehospital setting. Students learn to administer medications, use the AED in Cardiac Arrest, and perform CPR as well as to administer many other Basic Life Support procedures.
