Chicano Latino Coalition Scholarship Application

PLEASE REMEMBER: If you do not have the required paperwork for any of the scholarships below, your application will not be processed.

Description and Criteria (each scholarship is $1,000):

1. Chicano Latino Coalition Cesar E. Chavez Scholarship:
   • Must have declared major and completing satisfactorily major requirements.
   • Completed a minimum of 24 academic units with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
   • Must be a full-time student.
   • Must demonstrate participation in College or community activities or other organizations, leadership qualities reflecting of Cesar E. Chavez philosophy.
   • Submit a copy of updated Student Education Plan (SEP).
   • One letter of recommendation from an instructor or counselor.
2. Chicano Latino Coalition Transfer Scholarship:
   • Must have declared transfer major and completing satisfactorily transfer requirements.
   • Completed a minimum of 24 academic units with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
   • Must be a full-time student.
   • Submit a copy of updated Student Education Plan (SEP).
   • One letter of recommendation from an instructor or counselor.
3. Chicano Latino Coalition Service to Community Scholarship:
   • Must have declared major.
   • Completed a minimum of 12 academic units with a 2.5 GPA minimum.
   • Student must be a full-time student.
   • Submit a copy of updated Student Education Plan (SEP).
   • Must show proof of community service, it can be student government, club activity, or other community service.
   • Two letters of recommendation from an instructor or counselor and agency where service was provided.
4. Chicano Latino Coalition Career Technical Scholarship:
   • Must have declared major and completing satisfactorily the requirements of the technical program.
   • Completed a minimum of 6 academic units with a 2.5 GPA minimum.
   • Submit a copy of updated Student Education Plan (SEP).
   • One letter of recommendation from an instructor or counselor.
5. Chicano Latino Coalition AB540 Scholarship:
   • Must be declared transfer and completing satisfactorily transfer requirements.
   • Completed a minimum of 12 academic units with a 2.5 GPA minimum.
   • Submit a copy of updated Student Education Plan (SEP).
   • One letter of recommendation from an instructor or counselor.

In addition, selected candidates will be invited for face-to-face interview, and former winners may NOT apply.
