Online Scholarships & Search Tools

There are thousands of scholarships available outside of Southwestern College, and many go unclaimed every year. This page connects you with the tools and databases you need to find them. Before you dive in, remember the inverted funnel approach from our Tips for Scholarships page — start local, then go regional, then national. Smaller pools mean better odds.

Note: SWC does not manage or control the application or selection process for any outside organizations. Contact each scholarship provider directly with any questions about their specific award.

Scholarship Universe

Scholarship Universe is the primary scholarship search tool for SWC students. Log in using your MySWC username and password. Once you are in, answer as many profile questions as you can about your major, career interests, background, and goals. The more you share, the better your matches will be. Scholarship Universe automatically connects you with external scholarships you may qualify for based on your profile.

Legitimate scholarships are always free to apply for. If a site asks you to pay a fee, it is a scam.
