Southwestern College offers a number of financial aid programs to assist students with their educational expenses to avoid financial barriers that might prevent them from attaining their goals. Assistance comes in the form of grants (money that does not need to be paid back), scholarships (money awarded by donors for students meeting certain criteria and which does not have to be paid back), loans (which do need to be repaid) and work study (on and off campus jobs for financial aid eligible students where funds are earned and not repaid).
It is recommended that students consider the total cost of education (fees, books and supplies, room and board, personal expenses, living expenses, and transportation) when enrolling in college. You are strongly encouraged to plan ahead since financial aid does not always cover all your educational needs.
