Southwestern Community College District has over 150 acres throughout the four campuses, these facilities consist of natural and artificial turf, a variety of plant and tree species, and sports fields.  The landscape provides an inviting and safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and the community.

The District has over 1,300 trees and 151 unique plant species that are pruned and maintained. All landscape and turf areas are irrigated to maintain adequate growth, health, and appearance regardless of plant type or soil conditions. A computerized irrigation controller saves time, water, and money. The grounds department also recycles and reuses green material and compost, reducing the use of chemical treatment during weed abatement.
