Disability Support Services (DSS) provides the support services for students with disabilities at Southwestern College mandated by Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The School of Math, Science and Engineering (MSE) serves a diverse group of students pursuing STEM majors (anthropology, astronomy, biology, chemistry, engineering, geography, geology, math, physical science, physics), students wishing to fulfill their general education requirements, and student requiring STEM courses for programs outside of MSE.  Through faculty involvement in several NSF grants and the contributions of the MESA Program, our students have the opportunity to participate in paid internships, research experiences, mentorship programs, and work based learning activities.

For Spring 2024, MSE has a total of 173 faculty, with 46 full time faculty and 127 part time faculty. MSE has a variety of clubs and student organizations related to STEM majors: Anthropology, chemistry, earth science, math and science, SHPE, Society of Women Engineers, and software engineering.
